It can sound a little bit harsh to Alex Neil. But, man have you lost your mind? Why not using Kyle Lafferty? Why you signed Mbokani when you have player like Lafferty in your squad? I won’t be wondering if Norwich be relegated after the end of the season. In fact, I expect that this will happen.
Kyle Lafferty appeared for just 14 minutes in a match of The Capital One Cup and managed to score against West Bromwich! He has enough qualities to be among the starting eleven every single week! Instead of that, he took part in only 1 Premier League match and stayed on the pitch for only 13 minutes.
The Northern Ireland international knows best how to win titles. He has become a Scottish Premiership champion with Rangers on 3 occasions. In addition, he has won The Scottish Cup and The Scottish League Cup twice.
But, Lafferty made his biggest impression at a big stage, helping Northern Ireland qualify for The UEFA Euro 2016. The striker scored 7 goals for his country in 9 games. Thanks to his efforts, Northern Ireland won their group and will take part in a major tournament for the first time since The World Cup 1986. This will be the first European championship for The Norn Iron.
Kyle Lafferty became the second best goal-scorer in Northern Ireland’s history with 16 goals in 46 appearances. So, I think Lafferty deserves at least a chance to prove his goal-scoring abilities in Norwich City. It is understandable why the striker declined a loan offer during the winter transfer window. If he leaves for a club of a lower division he will make a step back.
Actually I am not a Lafferty’s fan, but I hate seeing people being underestimated. And I am still not sure about the qualities of Mbokani, despite his stats. It is not just about scoring goals – it’s about making an impact on the pitch and winning games. And, in my opinion, Kyle Lafferty is doing a great job, but is advisedly neglected by the manager. However, Alex Neil and Lafferty could have argued and that’s why the striker is not playing…
In conclusion, I will be very happy if Lafferty shows his great potential at The Euro 2016 and help Northern Ireland achieve some good results. For now, just do not give up Kyle – you are better than the half of the strikers in The Premier League!
