As a youngster, Anelka signed his first professional contract with Paris Saint-Germain in 1996 at the age of 16! He was so gifted, that after just 10 games with the Parisians Arsenal bought him for a fee of £500,000, when he was just 17 years old. After 3 very successful seasons in London, the French striker was signed by Real Madrid! But, his spell with Los Blancos lasted just 1 season and eventually he returned to his first team Paris Saint-Germain.
Nicolas Anelka played for 12 different teams during his long career. But, the most interesting about it is that he didn’t care about whether these teams’ fans hate each other. So, at different stages of his career, Nicolas Anelka was a part of Arsenal, Liverpool, Manchester City, Bolton Wanderers, Chelsea and West Bromwich Albion!
But, actually, money is not everything for Anelka. Because of his temperament, he suffered the anger of his coaches, and that’s why he moved from team to team so frequently. However, now the French striker can say that he has played for the best teams in the world. In addition, he had a great international career. The forward was a part of The Blues’ selection in 2000, when France won the European championship! Anelka scored 14 goals in 69 matches for France.
